The Design Office (DO) is mainly involved in the early phases of an instrumentation project. Design engineers design and validate all or part of the mechanical structure supporting the optics. They are involved in numerous projects designed to study celestial radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum, from radio waves to very high-energy gamma rays.
These projects range in size from research projects developed by researchers at Observatoire de Paris - PSL to instrumental projects carried out as part of international collaborations.
